The diopteron--a two-headed creature from the world of the circus troupe. They'll be making an appearance later on, when I finish hammering out the details of my latest book.

Giraffalo--half giraffe, half buffalo, with a random lightning bolt on the tail--idea by Brittany Larson
Equithera--half horse, half lion, with a mane and tail of flame--idea by Evan Ottinger
Leodracos--half lion, half dragon, and also engulfed in flames
Sugar Anole--half anole, half sugar glider--idea by Cheyenne May

Torgadon. A friend and I came up with the name, and I designed the creature after an armadillo. Drawing the feet was a real challenge, because I'm not used to cramming five clawed toes on the end of a single leg. I prefer three.
This is a Saritan, a creature created for Shadow Beasts, a book I started four years ago, re-wrote three times, and still haven't gotten around to editing.
